Yes — electrical preparation should happen before the hot tub itself is delivered and set in place. The dedicated 240V circuit, conduit, disconnect, and final connection points should all be in place so the tub can be wired in once it’s positioned. Many tubs also need the deck or pad fully cured before tub delivery.

Recommended sequence

  • Hot tub location selected and pad/deck ready
  • Permit pulled with local jurisdiction
  • Dedicated circuit and conduit installed
  • Disconnect mounted within sight of the tub location
  • Final connection made after tub delivery and placement
  • Inspection scheduled before first fill

We coordinate the electrical timeline with the hot tub delivery through our installations and remodels service.
