Most homes need one indoor mini-split head per major zone or open area, typically two to four heads connected to a single outdoor multi-zone condenser. A small home or addition may only need one, while a 3,000+ sq ft home with multiple bedrooms may need five or more for full coverage.

- One head per bedroom that needs independent control
- One head per finished basement or bonus room
- One head per addition or hard-to-condition area
