Have your HVAC system maintained twice a year — once in the spring for AC and once in the fall for the furnace. Heat pumps and ductless mini-splits should also be serviced twice yearly because they run in both heating and cooling modes year-round. Change air filters every 1–3 months between visits.

- Spring — AC, heat pump, or ductless tune-up
- Fall — Furnace, heat pump, or ductless tune-up
- Monthly — Filter check (replace as needed)
- Quarterly — Hose off outdoor condenser
