An AC condenser is the outdoor unit of a central air conditioner. It contains the compressor, the condenser coil, a fan, and the refrigerant lines that connect to the indoor air handler. Its job is to take the heat absorbed from your home (carried in the refrigerant) and release it outdoors.
What’s inside
- Compressor (heart of the system)
- Condenser coil with finned tubing
- Condenser fan (pulls air across the coil)
- Service valves for refrigerant lines
- Capacitor and contactor
- Disconnect box mounted on the wall nearby
Keep the area around your condenser clear of grass, leaves, and snow. Schedule service or replacement through our AC condenser service, AC maintenance, or AC repair.
