Most modern built-in dishwashers are compatible with granite countertops because they mount to the cabinet sides rather than the underside of the countertop. For granite (or quartz) installs, a side-mount bracket kit is required. Avoid models that only support top-mount brackets unless the dishwasher manufacturer specifically offers a side-mount alternative.

  • Choose a model that supports side-mount brackets
  • Verify cabinet depth and rough opening
  • Most Bosch, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, GE, and LG models qualify
  • Confirm height matches your toe-kick and base cabinet
  • Avoid drilling into the granite (never required for compatible models)
