Do I have a recalled panel?
Federal Pacific, Zinsco, FPE Stab-Lok, Pushmatic, and Challenger panels have known safety issues and should be replaced regardless of age. If you have one, schedule a replacement — your homeowner’s insurance may even require it.
What's a service upgrade?
Upgrading the main electrical service entering your home — typically from 100A to 200A. Required for most modern households with EV chargers, heat pumps, hot tubs, or large additions. We coordinate with the utility and pull all permits.
Should I get a smart panel?
If you have or plan to have solar, EV charging, battery backup, or want detailed energy monitoring — yes. Smart panels like Span and Lumin let you manage circuits individually, run on battery during outages, and visualize energy use by circuit. The premium pays back fastest in solar/EV households.
How long does a panel upgrade take?
Most residential panel upgrades take 6–8 hours from start to finish. The utility power has to be shut off during the swap (typically 2–4 hours of that window). We coordinate the utility cutoff and inspection.
Do you do commercial panel work?
Yes. Three-phase commercial panels, sub-panels, tenant electrical buildouts, and after-hours upgrades to avoid disrupting business operations. Washington and Idaho commercial-licensed.
Is the work warrantied?
Every panel install includes a 1-year Mainstream labor warranty plus the manufacturer warranty on the panel (typically 1–10 years).
